Role overview
As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for organizing and managing the (inter)national transport of biomass and waste-derived materials. You ensure that each shipment is handled with precision, efficiency, and in full compliance with all regulations. From planning and execution to communication with carriers and documentation handling, you are the logistical backbone of our operations. With your experience in transport coordination and knowledge of industry-specific software, you play a crucial role in keeping our supply chains moving smoothly and sustainably.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate (inter)national biomass and waste shipments, ensuring timely, cost-efficient, and compliant delivery.
- Manage daily communication with carriers, terminals, suppliers, and customers.
- Select and negotiate with transport partners and oversee execution and issue resolution.
- Handle transport documentation and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations in collaboration with the compliance team.
- Use logistics software and ERP systems for planning, tracking, and reporting.
- Maintain accurate logistical records and monitor KPIs to support continuous improvement.
- Provide planning input to commercial and operations teams and drive process optimization across the supply chain.
Qualifications & Skills
- MBO+/Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field, with 2–3 years of experience in (international) transport coordination, preferably in biomass or waste.
- Strong planning, communication, and problem-solving skills; fluent in Dutch and English (German/French is a plus).
- Proficient in logistics software and MS Office; able to work accurately, independently, and under pressure.
- Proactive, hands-on team player committed to quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.
